THE INSTITUTE FOR CREATIVE LIVING
ICL is part of the National Heritage Foundation and shares with it a nonprofit, 501(c)(3), 509 (a)(1) federal tax status (tax ID number 588-2085326). ICL supports special projects I conduct through Counseling and Human Resources Consulting. As funds are available, I counsel people and conduct public psycho-educational seminars, workshops and programs of a spiritual orientation for anyone who would like to attend without consideration of age, race, sex, sexual orientation, national origin, handicap, or financial status.
Go Fish! project. 1708 Gallery, in cooperation with the City of Richmond, has created an exciting opportunity for artists to be part of the city's largest temporary public art project. Cities across America" from Chicago to New York to New Orleans" have created wildly successful themed outdoor art exhibits, and Go Fish! is Richmond's opportunity to be put on the map. From May through September 2001, a hundred fish or more" festooned by area artists--will be displayed all over Metro Richmond to recognize the resurgence of the rockfish in our James River, to make public art accessible, increase tourism, and have fun! It is the largest outdoor project in the history of Virginia.
ICL is decorating one of these fish, 5 feet long, 40 inches wide and 15 inches thick called,Mandala Minnow in the Sea of Cosmic Consciousness. Like large scales, on one side of the fish will be exhibited my own original mandala art. On the other side will be found mandalas created by clients of mine who are willing to collaborate in demonstrating to citizens in Richmond, and Virginia, the beauty and power of mandala symbolism.
Your generous tax deductible contribution to ICL will help defray the cost of purchasing the fish ($500.00) and support the many dozens of hours of work necessary to create this fish. It will also help in the purchase of much needed equipment (digital camera, LCD computer projector) for educational seminars and public presentations of many different kinds.
Please give.
